524 N 11th St, Philomath, OR  97370
Amenities at this 0.42 acre neighborhood park on North 11th Street include a basketball court, swings, slide, sand pump and plenty of boulders and logs to climb on. Described as a natural playscapes park, kids young and old can let their imaginations fly as they discover the hands-on opportunities to play and learn.

In addition to Oregon Parks and Recreation Department for providing grant funds for the project, generous contributions and efforts from several local organizations and businesses helped make the project a success. Special thanks to:

Who was Flossie Overman?

Flossie Overman was a long-time teacher and resident of Philomath who was instrumental in helping save the old Philomath College building in the 1970’s. She attended grade school in Philomath and graduated from Philomath College in 1912 with a degree in philosophy.

Flossie died in 1986 at 98 years of age. She is still remembered by many long-time residents, including former Mayor Dale Collins, who recommended the park naming to the City Council.
