Colonel Greg Gadson

Veterans' Day Presentation: Colonel Greg Gadson

When:

NOVEMBER 10 at 6:00 PM

In honor of Veterans' Day, the community has come together to bring an inspiring speaker to the mid-valley. Colonel (Ret.) Greg Gadson was a linebacker for the Army Football Team at West Point. He served 26 years in the United States Army. He served in combat in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kosovo. He was badly wounded in an IED attack in Baghdad in 2007. While recovering from his wounds, he helped motivate the NY Giants to Super Bowl XLII where Kevin Boss from Philomath caught a 45-yard pass that helped the Giants win. Please join us to hear about his remarkable journey.

He will talk about his time in the Army, being a veteran, ableism, racism, patriotism, leadership, and overcoming adversity. You will be inspired.

Also hear from Kevin Boss who will relate what Greg's presence meant to him as a player on the world's biggest stage.

This presentation will be live-streamed on the City's Facebook page at: https://facebook.com/cityofphilomath. This is a public Facebook page and does not require a Facebook account to view. For those without internet access, a limited number of seats will be available at Philomath City Hall to view via television. Social distancing protocols will be adhered to and facemasks will be required.
