Public Art Committee

The Public Art Ad Hoc Committee will be soliciting public art ideas and making final recommendations to the City Council for art to be placed within the Streetscape Design in the Philomath Downtown area.  Specifically, the Committee will work with artists to develop large, round, metal sidewalk inserts that reflect the area’s history, culture or significance.  The Committee will also solicit ideas and materials for an informational kiosk and make a recommendation to the City Council.  The Committee may also solicit and consider pieces of public art for the concrete plinths located throughout the Streetscape design.

This meeting is being held in-person at the City Hall Council Chambers, and the public is invited to attend.  Public comments and testimonies are available via electronic participation. City meetings are live-streamed on the City’s YouTube channel at: City of Philomath - YouTube. This is a public page; no account or user fee is required.
