Philomath Parade of Lights
Event Information
The Philomath Parade of Lights is a new event aimed at bringing the community together during the holiday season to celebrate our local businesses and organizations that contribute to making Philomath such a great place to live, work, learn and play.
Parade Route
The parade will line up between the Middle school and High School parking lots and exit onto Chapel Drive. The parade will start at Chapel and 19th, heading north on 19th to Applegate Street. It will turn left (west) on Applegate Street all the way day to 15th Street, where it will turn left again. Continue south on 15th Street, then right on Cedar Street. From Cedar, all floats will either enter the rodeo grounds or turn right (north) on 13th Street. Once the last float has left the middle school parking lot, floats will be allowed to exist the rodeo ground and go south on 13th to Chapel and back to the Middle School. Floats may not stop prior to entering the rodeo grounds. Riders may not disband or get off the float until the float is safely parked inside the rodeo grounds or back at the middle/high school where it started.
Spectators
Spectators are invited to bring chairs and umbrellas and line the streets to watch the parade. Rain or no rain, the parade will go on!
